Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect to lead data management initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.

This role involves overseeing vendors supporting legacy database systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and cloud platforms (Postgre

SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake).

The position includes monitoring versions, upgrades, auditing, patching, troubleshooting, and working with ETL and reporting tools.

The Data Architect will also review new and ongoing projects impacting the data tier, ensuring secure and efficient data storage, access, and compliance.

• Review existing implementations of on-prem and cloud RDBMS for best practices and design issues.
• Provide guidance and recommendations on database configurations to ensure uptime and optimal user experience.
• Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of issues impacting database systems.
• Collaborate with multiple vendors to address complex data-related issues and interoperability constraints.
• Manage database auditing policies and procedures.
• Evaluate documentation and database designs to identify structural requirements.
• Analyze proposed database implementations for efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Respond to system problems promptly and provide support for critical issues.

• 3–5 years of experience with cloud RDBMS (Postgre
  
  SQL, SQL Server, Snowflake) in support or design roles.
• 3 years of relational database and data warehouse design and support experience.
• 3 years of cloud database cost optimization experience.
• 3–5 years hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud IAM, Oracle RDBMS, ASM, RMAN.
• 3–5 years hands‑on experience with SQL Server RDBMS.
• 3–5 years experience with Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with SSAS, SSMS, Visual Studio, and C#.
• Experience with Oracle migrations is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical topics to upper management.

• Experience with ETL tools and reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with data security and compliance standards.
