Technical Support Specialist – Apt

This role primarily involves basic desktop support and systems administration, serving as a foundation for growth into more advanced technical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage Cases and Incidents using enterprise ticketing systems (Service Now or equivalent).
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of customer IT infrastructure, ensuring timely and accurate technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and administer Windows-based applications, operating systems (Desktop & Server), and server roles (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print/File Services).
  • Perform virus/malware remediation and troubleshoot multifunction devices (MFPs), scanners, and fax machines.
  • Provide initial troubleshooting for Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix environments and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration and licensing (user provisioning, license assignment, compliance monitoring).
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of VMware/ machines.
  • Manage print servers and user printers.
  • Manage file and shared drive permissions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend or after-hours work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with basic networking technologies and concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet KPIs.
Desired Qualifications / Experience
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.
  • Experience with:
  • Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2022 (including Group Policy).
  • Microsoft 365 administration and licensing (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive).
  • Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and/or VMware virtualization.
  • Networking/Switching hardware and basic troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to cloud services (Azure fundamentals, SaaS applications).
Work Conditions and Other Considerations
  • Candidate must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Extended periods of seated work expected.
