22 is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to find an experienced Database Developer
. This role is critical in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database systems that support healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have strong PL/SQL expertise, performance tuning skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Design and implement stable, reliable, and high-performing Oracle database systems.
- Refactor existing database objects to support system enhancements in control, diagnostics, and research areas.
- Investigate and integrate new technologies to improve database capabilities.
- Optimize application performance through database tuning and best practices.
- Prepare documentation for database applications and SOPs for future use.
- Maintain programming in Source Safe and ensure version control compliance.
- Collaborate with database personnel, front-end developers, and customer support teams.
- Provide on‑call support for critical software issues as needed.
- Education:
B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. - Experience:
- 5+ years of hands‑on Oracle relational modeling and database development.
- 3+ years working with Oracle Database DDL/DML, PL/SQL, SQL (SQLplus, SQLcli, SQL developer), and modeling tools (SQL modeler, ERWIN, TOAD).
- Expertise in data extraction and Oracle Data Pump.
- Technical
Skills:- Strong knowledge of database version control (VSS or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead database transformation and development projects to successful completion.
- Significant experience in Oracle database testing and performance tuning.
- Other
Skills:- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to support a scientific user base.
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
- Strong communication skills for client and user interactions.
Location: Nashville, TN or Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Salary: $105,000 - $110,000 annually
