About the Role

The Principal Identity Governance Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive identity governance program that addresses both human and non-human identity requirements across Hyland's enterprise. In collaboration with IAM, IT, Security, Security Architecture, and AI Governance teams, this role will assess the current state of identity systems and architecture, identify governance gaps, and redesign the program to align with Hyland's AI-first strategy while meeting applicable ISO standards and emerging regulatory frameworks.

The Principal Identity Governance Lead will serve as both a governance architect and strategic program leader, defining enterprise identity governance requirements and partnering with technical architects and operational teams on implementation.

  • Serve as primary liaison and program lead with third-party assessment and redesign partners, managing scope, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment; collaborate with IAM and PAM operations leadership to ensure new governance frameworks integrate seamlessly with existing day-to-day operations
  • Establish governance workflows and approval processes for access provisioning, recertification, deprovisioning, and privilege elevation across human and non-human identity categories; create governance models and identity hierarchies that support compliance with ISO 27001, 42001, and emerging AI governance requirements while enabling business agility
  • Drive organizational adoption of the new identity governance model through communication, training, change management, and executive alignment; establish metrics, monitoring, and reporting to measure IGA program effectiveness including access review completion rates, compliance posture, and time-to-access for critical business requests
  • Maintain a strategic perspective on emerging identity threats, regulatory changes, and technical capabilities; advise leadership on enterprise identity strategy and recommend prioritized improvements across the identity technology landscape
