Our law firm is seeking a skilled and successful personal injury attorney to join our growing team and help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. The ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, have excellent credentials, a passion for helping people, and a minimum of 1 year of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience.
Experience is preferred, but not necessary. If you can handle a high-volume caseload and are looking to be on a winning team, please apply today. Salary does not include bonus pay.
Compensation$60,000 – $100,000 yearly
Responsibilities- Govern personal injury case files from inception to completion
- Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
- Manage a full caseload of pre‑litigation and, where applicable, litigation personal injury matters
- Conduct client intakes and maintain regular client communication
- Draft and review demand letters, pleadings, and settlement agreements
- Analyze medical records and prepare case summaries
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel
- Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and court hearings as needed
- Ensure cases move forward efficiently and comply with applicable deadlines
- Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation
- Knowledge of personal injury law/tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital
- A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Tennessee (Required)
- 1+ year of experience in personal injury law preferred, but not required
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in legal case management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired
