A leading law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience to join their Construction practice group in Nashville. This is a growth-oriented position offering a clear pathway for advancement and the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Transactions:
Represent owners and developers in the planning, negotiation, design, and construction phases of major projects. - Construction Disputes:
Handle litigation matters, including disputes related to delay claims, liens, compensation issues, and quality of work. - Client Representation:
Work closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, from planning to completion.
Qualifications:
- Litigation
Experience:
Some experience defending clients in construction disputes, with courtroom and deposition experience preferred. - Transactional Expertise:
Familiarity with managing complex construction agreements and documentation. - Strong Academic Background:
Excellent academic credentials are required; a transcript must be submitted with the application. - Writing Proficiency:
Exceptional legal writing skills with experience drafting complex transactional and litigation documents. A writing sample is required. - Construction Industry Insight: A background in construction, either through pre-law experience or prior career roles, is a plus but not mandatory.
