Basics

Commercial Construction (local) GC is hiring for a Project Manager with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.

Overview of Basic Experience Needed
  • 7+ years or more of (lead not assistant) project manager experience with medical, office, retail commercial TI/Build-Out & Ground-Up projects required.
  • Local Nashville (or Middle‑Tn) relationships and exposure to dealing with Architecture companies preferred.
  • 4 year college Bachelors degree in construction management preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Lives in local Nashville / Donelson‑area (no relocation assistance).
  • Benefits options, 401(k) and other attractive incentive package offered to selected candidate.
  • Commercial construction experience required (Residential will NOT be considered as equivalent).
Position Summary

Manages daily operations including the project staff and subcontractors. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Core Competencies
  • Experienced with a wide range of projects.
  • $1-15M project size (multiple project-load: 2-5 simultaneously).
  • 7-8 years experience as a Project Manager at minimum.

  • Commercial Construction Experience.
  • Analytical, budgeting, estimating skills.
  • Scheduling experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Negotiating & contracts experience.
  • Ability to work well with a small team.
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • Relationship building experience with owners around the area.
Education / Experience
  • Construction Management or Business (Bachelor’s) degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of PM experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • 3+ years of Lead Project Management experience required in commercial construction industry.
  • The selected candidate will also have a clean driver’s license, drug screen and background check to be eligible for this opportunity.
