Position

Somera Road is actively seeking a driven, resourceful Project Manager to support aviation-related infrastructure projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving problems, and is motivated to take ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder projects. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, airport representatives, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Manage day-to day progress of aviation infrastructure projects, including scheduling, logistics, contractor coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage Consultants in development for design and construction drawings.

Field & Travel Requirements

  • Travel regularly to job sites across the region/country to oversee installations and meet/coordinate with contractors (estimated 20–40% travel).

Execution & Problem Solving

  • Maintain a proactive, hands-on approach — stepping in wherever needed to keep projects moving.
  • Anticipate obstacles, propose solutions, and adapt to evolving project conditions.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost-to-complete.
  • Understand and apply project accounting principles, including billing cycles and financial reporting.
  • Review invoices, manage documentation, and support contract compliance.

Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular updates, progress reports, and risk assessments for internal leadership.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained and project records are accurate and complete.
Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of project management experience, preferably in aviation, transportation, or infrastructure construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
  • Demonstrated proactive, resourceful mindset and the ability to operate independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of project accounting, budgets, financial tracking, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with a significant amount of travel to active project sites.
  • Experience working in airport environments is a plus (but not required).
