As a Senior Training Manager, you will lead and unite the ALD team across 2-3 TOM regions, overseeing 8-10 Training Managers and their teams of 8-10 trainers covering all shifts. You will drive organizational growth through strategic initiatives while ensuring consistent, best-in-class training that maintains compliance with Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, Driver Qualification File (DQF) standards, federal and state regulations, and Amazon policies.

A day in the life

As a Senior Training Manager for ALD, your day typically begins around 7:30 AM, though business hours may vary based on operational needs. Starting with checking emails and preparing for a daily business review, you then lead a virtual daily business review, where you review key metrics and priorities with your team of Training Managers. By mid-morning, you're collaborating with stakeholders on strategic initiatives, such as implementing new safety protocols or enhancing training programs.

Your afternoon typically involves coaching sessions with managers, analyzing associate proficiency data, completing quality work checks, and participating in strategic planning meetings. Throughout your workday, you balance the immediate needs of your operation with long-term program development, ensuring your regions maintain training excellence while driving continuous improvement in safety and operational performance. Additionally, you'll spend approximately one week per month traveling to various sites within your geographical coverage area, conducting on-site assessments, providing direct support, and ensuring training standardization across locations.
