The Residence Director is primarily responsible for supervising and implementing the administrative responsibilities and educational programming for an assigned residential facility and participating in assigned teams responsible for Residence Life processes. This is a twelve-month, live‑in position.

• Educational:
  Creates a learning environment for students and staff. Designs hall programs that creatively support PSD, divisional, & university missions. Demonstrates ability to engage in learning and developmental conversations with RA staff and students.
• Complex:
  Manages residential community facility issues, including but not limited to reporting damages, key inventory, check
  
  Unauthorized high., check‑in & check‑out, room assignments, and gặplarını appropriately. Acts as a liaison between residents and Facilities Management Services staff.
• Supervisory finally:
  Supervises and mentors Resident Assistants, Front Desk staff and operations. Helps Resident Assistants develop professional skills and administers correction when appropriate.
• Personal Development:
  Sets goals for professional growth and displays an interest in development. Thoughtfully considers supervisor/peer feedback. Attempts to maintain areas of strength & grow in challenge areas, and shows actual, measurable progress towards this end.
• Relational:

  Is an active, dependable, and innovative member of assigned department and university committees. Supervises chaired committees in an effective & respectful manner. Completes committee assignments in a timely manner. Informs supervisors of progress & actions of assigned committees.

Displays good decision‑making & judgment skills when dealing with crisis or difficult situations. Monitors the facility to ensure a safe and secure living environment for students.
• Flexibility:
  Shows ability & willingness to adjust to varying responsibilities and department needs. Contributes to the success of the vision & mission of the Residence Life Department. Willing to take on other duties as assigned.

• 1-3 years Residence Life experience.
• Masters preferred, Bachelors required.
• Housing software experience preferred (Star Rez).
• Evidences genuine and dynamic personal Christian faith.
• Student‑centered focus with knowledge of Student Development Theory.
• Student Life career‑oriented individuals preferred.
• Creativity, imagination, ability to seek original, effective solutions.
• Computer proficiency, including Word and EXCEL.
• Desire and ability to work individually and in collaborative and dynamic team settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter, responsible work habits, personal maturity.

Masters preferred, Bachelors required.

• 1-3 years Residence Life experience
