Supply Chain Associate
Job Summary
Under supervision and using established procedures, ensure that trucks are loaded and trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follow all GMP’s, keep hands cleaned and sanitized at all times, and ensure the production of safe, high‑quality product. Promote good company morale, report equipment or people issues, maintain accurate checklists and required forms, and complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors.
Responsibilities- Unload trailers as they arrive.
- Keep docks clean, removing empty trays and pallets.
- Offload ingredients or other material delivered.
- Check and record received ingredients on the proper form.
- Sweep out and load trucks according to load sheets, checking off stacks and/or pallets as they are loaded.
- Record the dates of the product that goes on the trailer on the load sheet.
- After load completion, ensure the pallets on the trailer match the number on the load sheet.
- Turn in load sheets, B.O.L., and other forms completed during the shift.
- Dispose of all empty boxes and bags.
- Place all product varieties in the proper aisles and record quantity on the “push‑in sheet”.
- Keep freezer organized and pushed up.
- Ensure proper rotation of product (first‑in/first‑out).
- Keep ante rooms clean and the back of the freezer swept, scraped, and free of debris.
- Notify engineering/foreperson of any equipment problems immediately.
- Monitor quality of the product, package seal, trays, dollies, and coding.
- Check for proper nesting of trays.
- Perform M.B. pull and push up.
- Perform GSF pull and push up.
- Keep entire area clean at all times.
- Perform sanitation duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
- Perform any other job deemed necessary by Supervisor.
- Haul and move trailers on and off property using trucks and yard dogs.
- Knowledge of baking processes, equipment, and terminology is desired.
- Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds if required.
- Completion of high school and/or equivalent education or experience in job‑related activities.
Position is in an industrial setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions, as well as Good Manufacturing Processes compliance. Will be pushing and pulling stacks of product that may weigh as much as 50 lbs.
