About

The Role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Fabrication (FAB) Technician to join our production team. This role involves assembling and preparing panels according to job specifications while ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review job prints for special instructions and update clock‑in number accordingly.
  • Inspect tools for accuracy and proper functionality, testing on scrap material if necessary.
  • Measure panels to ensure they meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform a visual inspection of panels for dents, scratches, or defects before starting fabrication.
  • Verify panel grain direction, if applicable.
  • Confirm the correct type and color of screws by referencing the job sketch.
  • Retrieve necessary extrusions for the fabrication process.
  • Install corner clips and apply caulking if required.
  • Install extrusions and caulk stiffeners as needed.
  • Conduct a final review to ensure all components match the job sketch.
  • Set completed panels aside for QC inspection and labeling.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in fabrication, assembly, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret job prints and technical sketches.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Dexterity to handle tools and components safely and effectively.
