Overview

Stratas Foods LLC is a leading supplier of fats and oils to the Food service, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America. Our Nashville Food Processing and Packaging Plant is part of a network of locations employing over 100 people and growing.

We are currently hiring for Food Processing Mixers in the Nashville area. We are looking for motivated individuals who want a career in food processing and packaging and who are ready to grow with us.

Job Title:

Food Processing Mixer (Nashville, TN)

• Follow mix instructions and provide clear, concise documentation of production work.
• Perform general housekeeping, rework, prepare packaging, package product, and other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Operate and tend machines to mix or blend a wide variety of food products such as edible oils, dressings, margarines, spreads, shortenings, cooking wines, vinegars, etc.
• Monitor gauges, flow meters, thermometers, and recording instruments to adjust raw materials, temperatures, and speeds to maintain product quality and safe operation.
• Operate CIP skids and assist with breakdown and cleaning of line components.
• Handle chemical procedures including required PPE and ensure safe handling.
• Record product movements and batch information on appropriate documents.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights as required.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED
• Relevant experience: 0-2 years in mixing machine operation, blending, food manufacturing or related fields
• Basic understanding of food manufacturing automation processes, including recipe construction/adjustment, process flow, and variation in salt content, moisture, and color
• Ability to operate and tend machines to mix or blend food products and monitor process equipment
• Ability to fill out appropriate documentation for product movements and ingredients
• Willingness to work bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required
• Must be able to work overtime when needed

• Rate: $20 per hour
• Shift: 1st and 2nd shifts; weekends and overtime as needed
• Must consent to background screening, physical, drug screening and lift test
