Position: RN Weekdays - Nights - $10/K SIGN ON BONUS

Job Overview

Registered Nurse – Weekdays to Nights (Weekends Off) at Hermitage Hall. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000. Opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts. Shift: 11 pm – 7 am, Monday to Thursday, 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Provides physical care and carries out therapeutic and medical regimes; evaluates and documents outcomes.
  • Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all relevant medical and psychiatric information, including treatment plans and medication changes.
  • Collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure communication of residents’ behavioral, emotional, and medical needs.
  • Obtains resident histories and medical information, including medication consents, vital signs, release of information forms, and insurance information.
  • Observes residents for physical, emotional, and behavioral changes; documents and reports observations.
  • Contributes to the development and ongoing changes to treatment plans, including participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assists in orientation and continuing education of staff, residents, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Administers medications and treatments as ordered and documents accurately; reports side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Ensures safety and security of all medications.
  • Collects laboratory specimens (urine, blood, sputum) and performs routine lab tests or sends specimens to laboratory.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement, program evaluation, meetings, and committees.
  • Responds to medical and psychiatric emergencies, evaluating and providing care per policy and procedure.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of state licensing regulations, contractual requirements, CARF standards, HIPAA, ordinances, laws, and other regulations.
  • Performs additional functions incidental to nursing activities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associate's in Nursing degree or higher from an accredited program.
  • Current unencumbered license in Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a behavioral health setting preferred; 1–2 years of experience desired.
  • Experience with adolescents and in a psychiatric setting is a plus.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Must be able to attend a mandatory, two‑week new hire orientation Monday‑Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm.
  • Full background check required, including fingerprint, drug screen, and employment verification.
