Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care has an opening for a Full‑Time (On Call) Remote Night Nurse Practitioner / PA / APRN at Davidson County Downtown Detention Center in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on providing medical care within a correctional environment.

• Work within a correctional facility
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility
• Identify inmate /patient health problems and prescribe treatment under direction of a physician
• Implement medical care and provide education to inmate /patient, healthcare, and correctional staff
• Document all healthcare contacts
• Adhere to safety and security policies, disaster drills, and security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications
• Assign tasks to team members as needed and attend training and meetings as required

• Graduate of an accredited NP program or current PA licensing in TN
• Current licenses or certifications in this state
• Experience in correctional health care desired but not required
• Acute care experience preferred
