The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide comprehensive health services to DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The RN will use a holistic approach to care for patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions, ensuring compliance with accepted standards of care.

• Provide OR nurse coverage for all patients in acute and intensive care settings, short stay unit, and pain management services.
• Assist with diagnostic transesophageal echocardiogram and emergency airway management.
• Prepare patients prior to surgery, gather necessary supplies, and maintain operating room sterility.
• Position and prepare patients on the operating table, pass instruments to the surgeon, and evaluate patients in postoperative phases.
• Assist the surgeon at the bedside and in the outpatient clinic as needed.
• Ensure timely presence for scheduled clinics/surgeries and maintain compliance with site procedures and training requirements.

• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN license in the United States or District of Columbia.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum 3 years of experience, including 6 months OR RN experience within the past year; experience abroad or in austere environments preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Associate, Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE).

• Meet pre‑deployment physical requirements.
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods, and may require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card.
• Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months before expiration, maintained during stay in Iraq.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (MRPT preferred).
• Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project and communicate in English.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary. Full-time positions are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and annual bonus. International SOS complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
