Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join a Med/Surg unit, requiring a TN or compact nursing license and BLS certification.

• Position is based in a hospital setting on a 23-bed Med/Surg unit
• Patient population includes adults aged 18 to 60 and above with acute medical and surgical conditions
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
• Variable staffing grid includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with RNs assuming full patient responsibility
• Overnight shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• All candidates must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced rate according to the facility’s radius rule
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required according to unit needs
• Current COVID vaccination is not required
• Team consists of a variety of licensed and unlicensed care providers with RN leadership
• Travelers should communicate about potential assignment extensions at least 45 days before the contract end

• Active TN or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg RN experience
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test before starting
