Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a high-volume open heart surgery program requiring at least 1 year of cardiac OR experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
• Current license and primary source verification via Nursys within 30 days prior to start required
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

• Work in a dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room within an Open Heart program
• 8 Cardiac ORs staffed by 7 Cardiac Surgeons
• Unit performs 9-16 cases per operative day and over 2000 cardiac cases annually
• Open and robotic cardiac surgery cases using Xi and DV5 robotic systems
• Supports heart failure and heart transplant program
• Case staffing typically includes 1 First Assist, 1 CST, 1 Heart Holder RN, and 1 Circulator
• 40 hours per week with rotating shifts based on an 8 week schedule
• Shift hours 06:45-17:15
• Call requirement of 12 shifts per 8 week schedule, each shift 12 hours
• Provide circulating and scrub nursing support for complex cardiac surgical procedures
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, varying by state
• Covid vaccination is not required
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
