American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN with therapeutic cooling experience and a TN or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.
Details- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting
- Care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates including those requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
- Manage high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
- Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- 13-week assignment length
- Active RN license (TN or compact) required
- Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
- STABLE certification may be required based on facility policy
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, with 3-4+ years of Level III NICU experience preferred
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
- Must be able to independently manage complex NICU patients with minimal supervision
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergency situations
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and closely monitor changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team
- Provide education and emotional support to parents and families throughout the infant's hospitalization
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate per facility radius rule, which varies by location
- Should begin discussing extension with management approximately 45 days before assignment end date
