American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio goal of 4:1, up to 6:1
• Float required to other MS/Tele units, including forensics and inpatient units
• No on-call requirements

• Active TN state RN license or compact multi-state license required
• Current Nursys report required; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Must be comfortable working with the prison population

• Care for medical-surgical patients, including forensic and inpatient populations
• Holiday rotation required; nurses must work 3 of 6 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) based on assigned group
• Schedule swaps with peers may be arranged to accommodate personal holiday preferences
• RTO not submitted at time of application will not be approved
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
