American Traveler is hiring a RN
- Medical/Surgical nurse for a women's oncology surgical observation unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Surgical observation unit caring mainly for women's oncology surgical patients with a 24-hour or less length of stay
• Patient population includes hysterectomy, mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction, thyroid cancer surgery, and general medical/surgical cases
• 30-bed unit serving young adult through late adult patients (ages 18-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with RN assuming full responsibility for team patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating may be required to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, census, and acuity, with advance notice given before the scheduled shift

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

• Provide skilled nursing care to prevent and identify complications and deliver surgery-specific patient education
• Support patients and families through emotionally and physically challenging cancer diagnoses and surgeries
• Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Travelers should discuss assignment extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
