Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Knoxville, TN | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend and some holidays expected

• Provide direct patient care within a Level I Emergency Department setting
• Care for admitted patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient bed availability, in designated areas or hallway spaces as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 6:1 in ED holding assignments
• Float to acute care areas within scope of practice to support facility needs as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (prior experience required)

• Active RN license – Tennessee license or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers may be considered based on previous clinical experience
• ACLS certification required
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
• Acute Care and/or Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
• 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

• Experience working in a high-acuity Level I Emergency Department environment
• Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and hallway patient care
• Experience with block scheduling arrangements

• Block scheduling may be available to support work-life balance preferences
• Travel pairs are welcome, offering the opportunity to work alongside a colleague
