American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment on a 25-bed unit requiring a TN or compact RN license and prior Med/Surg experience.

• Med/Surg unit on the 3rd floor with 25 beds
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 during days and 6:1 at nights
• Unit staffed with a unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs on days, and 2-3 PCTs at night
• Uses Sara Steady lifts, wound vacs, Tele Health, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Schedule requires every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with flexible weekdays
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating required on a PRN basis, most often between Med/Surg units

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke certification and CPI certification preferred
• Strong assessment skills required
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets required
• Proficiency in IV insertion and foley catheter placement required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and bedside procedures such as IV and foley catheter placement
• Expected to perform hourly rounding and follow BSSR patient experience standards
• Required to wear black or royal blue scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
