American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

• 25-bed Med/Surg unit on the 3rd floor
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Unit supported by a unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs on days, and 2-3 PCTs on nights
• Uses Sara Steady lift, wound vac, Tele Health, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) required, with flexible weekdays
• PRN floating required, most often between Med/Surg units

• Active TN or compact RN license
• BLS certification required; NIH Stroke and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Strong assessment skills required
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets required
• Competency in IV insertion and foley catheter placement
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Perform hourly rounding and support BSSR patient experience initiatives
• Black or royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
