American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 12-hour night shift position requiring Level I trauma experience and a minimum of 2 years OR experience.

• Work in the OR Float Pool within a 17-bed inpatient/outpatient OR plus 5 procedural rooms at a Level I trauma facility
• Patient population includes open heart, transplant, trauma, and neuro cases, all adult (no pediatric patients)
• Covers all surgical case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• May include weekend shifts, with weekday schedule varying based on unit needs
• May float between OR rooms but not between facility locations
• No call requirements
• May be required to take occasional late stays if OR case volume runs long

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience required
• Prior travel experience at a similar Level I trauma facility required
• Experience in general surgeries preferred
• Complete COVID-19 vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date

• 26-week contract assignments only will be considered
• Limited time off approved during contract, with expectation to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No more than 5-7 days of time off can be approved during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 75-mile radius
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
