American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg night shift position requiring active TN or compact RN license and prior med/surg experience.

• 4th floor Cardiac/Nephrology unit with 34 beds in a Level 1 trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center hospital
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Unit Secretary coverage on dayshift with PCTs available on all shifts
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with a requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• May float to other departments based on facility need

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg specialty experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and nephrology patients on a busy med/surg unit
• Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Must adhere to facility-specific policies and guidelines
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
