Overview
Do you love working with children and enjoy the outdoors? Mount Hermon Outdoor Science School Instructors teach 5th and 6th grade students a science curriculum that aligns with California State science standards. While at camp, students are transformed through their experiences in nature and their relationships with each other. Our work uses God's creation, outdoor activity, and teachable moments to encourage students to consider their relationship with nature, friends, and loved ones.
You can expect to work 5 days per week in a rewarding environment alongside other like-minded individuals and to be part of a team that is passionate about the outdoors and building deep relationships. More information nthermon.org/jobs/outdoor-science
- Teach a science curriculum to 5th and 6th grade students that aligns with California State science standards.
- Engage students through outdoor activities and nature-based learning experiences.
- Collaborate with teammates to create a safe, encouraging, and engaging camp environment.
- Interest in outdoor education and working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a camp setting and build positive relationships with students, staff, and volunteers.
Mount Hermon Association, Inc. is a large Christian Camp and Conference center with multiple camp settings in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California and a fourth camp near the California/Oregon border in the Marble Mountains. We strive to invite guests to consider their relationships with others, Creation, and Jesus, by providing a safe, encouraging environment and meaningful conversations. Housing may be available for many positions.
