Nashville Veterinary Specialists--in Nashville, TN is looking to add a meticulous and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team.$2,500-$5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available to experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians--Compensation: $21 - $38/hr, based on experience and pending skills level assessment.

Four 10-hour shifts per week, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule--Training:

--Completion of anesthesia training through NVS and passing of both written and practical exams will be required.

- About you:

You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to--outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a--positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture--and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and--truly want to make a difference.

Requirements for the Role:
Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine. LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required.

Have an in depth--understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.

Advanced skill set includes experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.

Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members

Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
