Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add Licensed Veterinary Technicians or Assistant to our Emergency Team
!
Compensation: $20 - $31/hr, based on experience. Additional shift and weekend differentials offered.
Schedule: Consistent, Three 12-hour shifts per week. Shift and weekend differentials available.

About you: You are an experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and truly want to make a difference.
Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician/assistant, preferably in emergency medicine.
- Have an understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
- Advanced skill set includes (preferred, not required): central line placement, abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis, feeding tube placement, urinary catheter placement
- Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
