Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add a meticulous and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team
.

$2,500-$5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available to experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians

Compensation: $21 - $38/hr, based on experience and pending skills level assessment.

Schedule: Four 10‑hour shifts per week, with participation in a rotating on‑call schedule.

Training: Completion of anesthesia training through NVS and passing of both written and practical exams will be required.

About you: You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. Requirements for the Role:

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine. LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required.
  • In‑depth understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Advanced skill set includes experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
