Overview
Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is seeking a meticulous and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team.
Compensation & Sign-On BonusSign‑On Bonus: $2,500–$5,000 available to experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians.
Hourly Rate: $21–$38/hr, based on experience and pending skills‑level assessment.
ScheduleFour 10‑hour shifts per week with participation in a rotating on‑call schedule.
TrainingCompletion of anesthesia training through NVS and passing of both written and practical exams is required.

You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people who share that value. You adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and truly want to make a difference.
Requirementsfor the Role
- Minimum 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in specialty, emergency, or critical care medicine. LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required.
- In‑depth knowledge of all basic veterinary concepts, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment, and procedures.
- Advanced skill set includes experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
- Attention to detail with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
- Fluent in English (speaking & reading). Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
