PHARMACY/TECHNICIAN – Kroger Mountain View Foods Job Description
Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating our customers and employees fairly and ethically, providing a safe, clean, inclusive environment, being a responsible member of the community, and delivering the right products, services, and care at the right time with accurate pricing. Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient, consistent with state and federal laws.

- Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
- Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and health code regulations and notify store management of unsafe conditions.
- Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements and supplies.
- Maintain departmental standards, keeping workstations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
- Count, measure and prepare specified products using company best practices.
- Complete billing procedures to assure best value for customer and company.
- Answer phone and triage calls, responding to inquiries appropriately.
- Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortages, and company shrink limits.
- Operate the cash register, following cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic funds, EBT and Gift Cards, cash and check transactions.
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidential information.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Support direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
Desired
- Any previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
- Familiarity with EPRN.
