As a Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team and upholding the mission to strengthen communities by redefining quality in the coffee industry through 100% organic, fair-trade, and direct-sourced coffee from small-scale farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of baristas, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality, presentation, and customer service are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Assist the store manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Train and develop baristas to deliver legendary customer service, product knowledge, and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns, resolving issues to ensure a delightful customer experience.
  • Uphold Bongo Java's brand values and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience in the food service, retail, or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Passion for coffee and an appreciation for the coffee culture.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with both customers and team members.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
