Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee position designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management role. Requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Pay rate: $21.00 to $31.15 per hour.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training staff to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and secure customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
- Analyze store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Willingness to work outside the building when required and to relocate as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18 years;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week (hours not guaranteed).
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills and cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interviews.
