The Service Senior Sales Executive is committed to supporting our Service Agreements business within the commercial Smart Buildings Automation Controls Service team. Our Sales team supports our Building Automation Operations team, focusing on automation service and maintenance in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. As a Sales Executive, you will be an ambassador of Siemens technology, and your interaction with customers will help optimize and facilitate a safe, emergency-ready workplace.
Responsibilities- Achieve new order and profit goals based on your assigned quota for both service projects and service agreements, with a focus on growing Siemens digital and energy services within the installed base and new customer markets.
- Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities including forecasting expected order intake; deliver on forecasted results consistently.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region; stay current on automation, digital, and energy market trends.
- Develop a vertical market and account management plan focused on strategic growth in energy, automation, and digital services.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies to drive business to end users and standard construction channels.
- Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization to understand challenges and recommend services to ensure building systems perform as required.
- Attend industry networking events and participate in professional organizations to build a market network and represent Siemens.
- Consult with customers to determine budgeting and investment requirements and position Siemens as a leader in service delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes; work with internal sales support to spend more time with customers.
- Collaborate with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and customer bid packages; partner with other sales teams to plan and acquire new projects and accounts.
- Work with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to obtain the sale; participate in sales meetings and trainings to stay informed on market and product trends.
- Spend at least 50% of time in customer-facing activities, with 1–2 days in the office for team collaboration and strategy development; travel overnight ~10% as required by territory.
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- 3+ years of Sales experience in building automation or energy services
- Ability to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings independently
- Experience with account development and strategic sales skills
- Verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
- Salesforce CRM
- Software, IoT, and networking experience
- Experience developing energy service opportunities with utility and federal incentives
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare, education, data centers, and commercial office markets
- Experience selling to end users/owners and marketing cloud-based, data-driven service programs such as fault detection and diagnostics
