X is seeking an experienced Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). The CPSO implements security plans and procedures for the protection and safeguarding of National Security Information. The CPSO will work closely with the FSO and other security professionals to coordinate program security activities, including physical security, personnel security, COMSEC, and the implementation of technical security controls for information systems in collaboration with cyber security teammates in assigned secure areas.
The candidate must have knowledge of information technology and information system security best practices. Throughout the lifecycle of the program, the CPSO will coordinate with the overall government Program Security Officer and the local government security representative on unique security issues and requirements, including access authorizations, visits, and other critical security matters.

Harris facility in Nashville, TN. - Provide leadership on special projects that cut across the business and the company, including assisting with security process standardization.
- Implement security policy consistent with the company, DoD, and other government regulations.
- Maintain and coordinate excellent working relationships with internal customers, external customers, and government agencies while interacting on all classified matters.
- Ensure all required security support for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) level programs and manage operations of associated Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with governing directives and program‑specific guidance.
- Provide program security support including, but not limited to, physical security, personnel security, operational security, access control, fielding of daily security requests/issues, investigations, information system security, security training, classification management, and document control.
- Provide day‑to‑day execution of all security functions for the program.
- Ensure the development and implementation of an effective security education, training, and awareness program utilizing multiple venues such as briefings, newsletters, posters, etc.
- Conduct security indoctrinations, debriefings, and audits.
- Assure the proper processing of incoming and outgoing classified visits, electronic personnel security questionnaires (eQIP), and Program Access Requests (PAR).
- Conduct an annual self‑inspection and maintain a satisfactory security posture for assigned programs.
- Remain up‑to‑date on applicable policies, procedures and regulations from the company, customers, and government agencies.
- Provide security support to Business Area Managers to include OPSEC, classification management, security awareness, COMSEC, and DD254.
- Communicate and coordinate security actions with the on‑site FSO/Security Manager.
- Other security‑related duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience as a defense contractor security professional or relevant military experience.
- Must possess an excellent understanding of the NISPOM, DoD 5205.07 Volumes 1‑4, JSIG, ICD, RMF, and other related government regulations applicable to U.S. Government collateral, SCI, and SAP programs.
- Direct experience with the planning and execution of secure facility or SCIF construction.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
- TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification.
- Willingness to submit to a CI polygraph investigation (current polygraph preferred).
