Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol campus, protect property, respond to emergencies and requests for assistance.
• Maintain a positive, courteous demeanor; communicate professionally and respectfully.
• Engage with students, employees, and visitors; participate in community activities.
• Conduct proactive patrols to prevent criminal activities and identify security concerns.
• Perform security duties such as escorts, responding to alarms, building checks, and assisting in emergencies.
• Act as first responder to incidents, establish command, and coordinate with emergency services.
• Ensure proper documentation of incidents and communicate effectively.
• Assist with training new hires and present security-related information to the campus community.

Required Qualifications:

• Training in or ability to complete incident management and related certifications.
• Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, or related fields.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Required Experience:

• Must be certified as an Unarmed Security Guard by Tennessee.
• Meet age, citizenship, moral character, and background requirements.
