Starting Hourly Rate: $25 per hour

Covert Results is seeking disciplined, self-directed Private Investigators capable of managing investigative assignments with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to work remotely while also conducting in-field operations, including surveillance and courthouse-related activity. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable professionals who can problem-solve independently, manage time effectively, and are capable of working both independently and as a contributing team member while maintaining high investigative and ethical standards.

A private investigator with Covert Results can earn $55,000–$70,000+ per year on average, with income varying widely based on experience, licensing and specialty work. Pay is based on productivity, workload, and case completion.

• Conduct surveillance operations professionally and independently
• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely investigative reports
• Perform courthouse and custodial facility visits as required by assignments
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and case documentation
• Represent Covert Results, LLC professionally in all settings
• Work remotely and in the field as case demands require

Within the First 90 Days

• Demonstrate consistent, high-quality report writing
• Complete regular surveillance and field assignments
• Maintain assigned courthouse and custodial facility activity
• Log a minimum of 25 investigative hours per week by the third month

By 180 Days

• Operate independently with minimal oversight
• Assist in generating case referrals through professional networking
• Lead surveillance operations when appropriate
• Demonstrate a working understanding of AOC and private billing practices
• Close cases efficiently with minimal administrative revisions

• Tennessee Private Investigator license or ability to obtain one (must be 21 and meet all of the requirements within the rules of the TN Department of Commerce and Insurance)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of integrity and personal accountability
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently
• No criminal history and must pass a background check
• Cannot be a former client of Covert Results

• Prior investigative experience preferred or 2 years experience in a related field
• Law enforcement or military background
• Criminal defense or courtroom-related investigative experience

Investigators are expected to maintain billing accuracy, professional conduct, and strict compliance with all legal, ethical, and company standards at all times.
