This company has 2 similar but different positions in the Nashville area for low voltage electronics troubleshooters and repairers. They are both local travel Field Service roles where you will have a company vehicle to take home each night. It is rare that you would have any overnight projects so you will be sleeping home almost always.
Security Service TechnicianThe Security Service Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems and equipment such as Access Control, VoIP, data networks, CCTV, and sound systems. Experience with these systems would make you a stronger fit.
Fire Alarm TechnicianThe Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, servicing and maintenance of electrical fire alarm systems. If you have Fire Alarm experience or a NICET certification you would be a stronger fit.
Role expectations for both positionsTechnicians are responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to minimize downtime and maximize performance. They are also responsible for communicating system performance to the customer, so strong customer service and communication skills are important.
Experience with the operation of Volt Meters, Ohm Meters, Multimeters, and Impedance Meters is important for either role.
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems and equipment (Security Service Technician) including Access Control, VoIP, data networks, CCTV, and sound systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, inspection, servicing and maintenance of electrical fire alarm systems (Fire Alarm Technician).
- Ensure systems are installed and serviced in an efficient and effective manner to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
- Communicate system performance and status to customers; maintain strong customer service and communication.
- Operate test instruments such as Volt Meters, Ohm Meters, Multimeters, and Impedance Meters as part of routine work.
