The Mulch Technician I is an entry-level Mulch Technician responsible for performing general mulch installation and site preparation on residential and commercial properties. As a Mulch Technician
, you will work under the supervision of a Mulch Crew Leader to complete daily mulch tasks that enhance the health and appearance of client landscapes. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands‑on experience and career growth in landscaping.

• Foundational Role:
  Start your career as a Mulch Technician with hands‑on training and development.
• Daily Task Variety:
  Perform mulch installation, site cleanup, and equipment handling.
• Team-Based Execution:
  Work closely with other Mulch Technicians and Crew Leaders to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

• Mulch Installation & Site Prep:
  Assist with mulch delivery, placement, and spreading across designated areas. Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely operate hand tools and mulch-related equipment such as rakes, shovels, and blowers. Support loading/unloading mulch materials.
• Safety Compliance:
  Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE. Report hazards and participate in safety meetings.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  No prior mulch or landscaping experience required—training provided. Outdoor labor experience a plus.
• Skills:
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Dependable and team-oriented.
  • Physical stamina for mulch installation tasks.

• Ability to follow instructions and complete mulch tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of mulch materials and installation techniques.
• Reliability and adherence to safety protocols.

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting mulch materials up to 50 lbs.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments.
