Electrician

Talascend is currently seeking an Electrician for a contract opportunity with our client in Nashville, Tennessee
.

The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.

• Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or certification preferred.
• 8-10 years experience required.

• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

M-F, 7am-4pm
