Summary of Job:
The Plumbing Professional is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential homes and some light-commercial applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Identify required tools and special equipment; select the type and size of pipe required.

* Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures

* Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment

* Assemble and install valves and fittings; install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls, underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, conditioners, plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim

* Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks

* Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures

* Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, graded, and meet the requirements of the appropriate codes

* Communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire service so that they are aware of what is going on inside their home/business

* Work safely and help ensure that those you work with are working in a safe manner

* Operate drain cleaning and clearing equipment; perform jetting and milling when required

* Operate or assist on jobs requiring excavation; trenching, and hand-digging when required

* Perform or assist on partial and full repipes
