Position Summary:
Anistar is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to provide assistance with the service tickets, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security equipment.

This opportunity has a pay range of $22-$26/HR and is based upon prior low voltage experience.

Job Responsibilities
:

• Running service tickets for commercial environments
• Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in new construction and existing commercial structure environments
• Configuring network equipment (routers, switches, and firewalls)
• Conducting site surveys of cabling, power, and equipment
• Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
• Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.
• Running daily reports

The ideal candidate will possess the following
:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience installing and servicing voice and data or security systems in a commercial environment.
• Prior networking experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ownership of basic telecom tools: punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, etc.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
• High character and integrity.
• Open to travel work.
• Computer savvy for reports.
