TEKsystems is Hiring Experienced Cable Technicians!

Ready to work on some of the biggest construction projects in Middle Tennessee? TEKsystems is actively seeking experienced Cable Technicians to support large-scale commercial projects throughout Nashville, including the new Titans Stadium and major Opryland Hotel additions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with a steady pipeline of work, gain exposure to large commercial installations, and build a long-term career in the low-voltage industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

Pulling and installing Cat6, Cat6A, and Fiber Optic cabling

Installing cable pathways including:

+ J-Hooks

+ Cable Tray

+ Conduit Supports

+ Ladder Rack Systems

Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings

Terminating:

+ Faceplates

+ Jacks

+ Patch Panels

Running jobs independently and solving problems in the field

Communicating project updates to site leadership

Leading and directing helpers on-site

Interfacing professionally with customers and project stakeholders

Troubleshooting structured cabling and connectivity issues

What We're Looking For:

Strong experience pulling and installing voice/data cabling

Structured cabling experience in commercial environments

Ability to read blueprints and work with minimal supervision

Experience leading helpers or small crews

Customer-facing communication skills

Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Experience using hand tools, drills, and construction equipment

Bonus Points For:

Fiber installation experience

Audio Visual (AV) installation experience

Commercial electrical background

Stadium, hotel, healthcare, or large commercial construction experience

Low voltage certifications or manufacturer training

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
