Federal Study OFF CAMPUS-Friends Community Attendant

Description Applicants MUST be a current Lipscomb University student to apply. This role is for Federal Work Study students only.

Friends Life Community is seeking caring and compassionate students to assist clients during the hours of 11 am - 1 pm. Your primary job as a Program / Lunch Attendant is to ensure the safety of the clients while eating, assisting with opening containers, and meeting additional needs during the lunch program. The ideal candidate will engage in meaningful conversations and model appropriate adult behavior.

• Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification and follow those protocols (paid training will be provided)

• Demonstrate best practices, inclusion, empathy, communication, and relationship-building with clients.
• Occasionally support staff and clients at events to showcase client work and increase community engagement.
• Occasionally Support evening/weekend activities such as Social Club Events, Friends' Treat Truck events, Dinner Club, etc.
• Collaborate with team members to advertise, execute, and meet event objectives.

• This position requires the person to stand for the duration of the shift.
• The position may work indoors or outdoors depending on weather.
• The person will be responsible for the supervision of up to 20 clients, with or without a secondary staff.
