Position SummaryWe’re seeking a Software Engineer with deep, comprehensive expertise in the Shopify ecosystem. You will be expected to understand not just Shopify theme development, but the full platform — including APIs, Shopify Plus features, custom app development, integrations, and performance optimization — to build scalable and tailored e‑commerce solutions. Responsibilities- Leverage deep, hands‑on experience with the Shopify ecosystem to build, customize, and optimize storefronts and backend integrations.
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and maintain custom Shopify apps (public/private) using Shopify's API and modern frameworks.
- Integrate and configure advanced Shopify apps like Rebuy, Boost, Klaviyo.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to implement dynamic UI/UX features, personalization, and A/B testing.
- Develop and maintain API integrations with third‑party services and internal tools.
- Optimize performance across desktop and mobile, with a strong focus on site speed, SEO, and Lighthouse scores.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Shopify issues with speed and precision.
- Maintain high standards in code quality, testing, and documentation.

- 3+ years of hands‑on Shopify development experience with a proven portfolio of launched and optimized stores.
- Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, limitations, and best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Shopify theme development using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Experience with Shopify Plus features, including multi‑currency, multi‑language (i18n).
- Integration experience with leading Shopify apps like Rebuy, Boost Product Filter & Search, Klaviyo.
- Familiarity with at least one modern JS framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Comfortable working with RESTful and Graph
QL APIs, including Shopify Admin, Storefront, and Checkout APIs. - Understanding of eCommerce metrics, analytics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
- Growth mindset, self‑starter attitude, and strong debugging/problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Experience building custom Shopify apps using Node.js or Remix.
- Strong grasp of technical SEO and eCommerce performance optimization.
- Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) and SSO providers (e.g., Auth0).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with backend technologies like .NET or Java.
