Join Oracle’s Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team in Nashville as a Software Engineer 4. You will help build and operate massive‑scale, integrated cloud services in a broad, distributed, multi‑tenant environment. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and scalable services for the OCI Data services database service.

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable services for the OCI Data services database service.
• Build automation tools for managing a large and fast‑growing fleet of database services.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices for production operations and troubleshooting.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to cross‑functional teams.
• Manage ambiguity and deliver solutions in a dynamic, fluid environment.

• Lead cloud engineer with a track record of delivering high‑scale, high‑impact solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of computer science concepts, data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database Engineering.
• Experience building highly available services with service‑oriented design patterns and service‑to‑service communication protocols.
• Experience with production operations, code quality, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience building control‑plane / data‑plane solutions for cloud‑native companies.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues in complex environments.
