Radio is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Web engineering team to develop our web platform. In this role, you will build new core features, improve developer experience and workflows, and scale our codebase to meet future needs.
- Develop and deploy new features and enhancements on
- Propose and advocate for clean, functional design systems
- Write maintainable and testable code
- Produce responsive and cross-browser/platform features
- Build reusable components and scalable architecture
- Introduce and understand development best practices, usability, and semantics
- Build tools to help diagnose problems
- Use metrics to improve application load and performance
- Mentor junior developers
- 4+ years of experience developing data-driven web applications
- Experience with application frameworks/libraries (React is a must have / Vue etc)
- Experience coding in vanilla JavaScript, knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals. ES6/ES2015 a plus
- Some experience with front-end performance optimization techniques
- Knowledge of HTML semantics, web APIs, the DOM API, CSS fundamentals and the basics of HTTP, knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, new APIs and HTTP2
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes
- Experience in monitoring client applications
- Desire to continuously learn new languages, platforms, and skills
- Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
- Experience with various technical disciplines and applications
- Close attention to detail, following up until issues are resolved
- Ability to multitask on a variety of critical projects
- Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with others
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate moderately complex technical information within the team
