As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be a rock‑solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack, design broad distributed system interactions, and value simplicity and scale. Your work will be collaborative, agile, and focused on learning.

Oracle Announcements Service is a fully managed, multi-tenant system that delivers operational updates and service‑impacting notifications across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It plays a critical role in cloud reliability and customer transparency by broadcasting real‑time alerts about maintenance, outages, and required actions. Built for scale and integrated with OCI Console and Notifications, the service ensures platform‑wide changes are surfaced efficiently across compartments and tenancy scopes.

• MS in Computer Science.
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Experience developing and operating large‑scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong grasp of Unix‑like operating systems.
• Experience building large‑scale, virtualized infrastructure (strong plus).

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers and specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 – $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
