We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the Blockchain Data team!

Our team has built the fundamental Web3 infrastructure, the data layer, by delivering an open-source, industry-leading suite of data availability solutions, Chain Stack, to ensure efficient and scalable access. Chain Stack is designed to ingest, index, and parse vast amounts of crypto data with minimal latency, providing a comprehensive solution to a widespread industry challenge. Come join us!

• Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
• Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by every engineering team in production (e.g. dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration, etc)
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers

• Learn, build, improve, and maintain cloud provisioning services written in Golang and Terraform.
• Design scalable, fault‑tolerant solutions to novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Work with engineers and leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Provide stellar customer support to our internal engineers on cloud provisioning.

• You have at least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• You’ve designed, built, scaled, and maintained backend services and infrastructure.
• You write high‑quality, well‑tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• You have experience in IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify problems, determine their root cause, and see them through to solution.

• You have Crypto‑forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain‑based services.

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility+ benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$152,405—$179,300 USD
